We can add transparency in our design by doing the following:

Lowering the opacity of the object design so that all become visible.

Using the opacity masks to create variations in transparency.

Using blending modes to change how the colors interact between overlapping objects.

Applying gradients and meshes that include transparency.

Applying effects include transparency, such as drop shadows.

Change the opacity of our design

we can change the opacity of the single object, the opacity of all objects in a group or layer, or fill opacity of an object or a stroke.

Select the object you want to edit.

If we want to change the opacity, select the object, then select the fill or stroke in the Appearance panel.

Set the Opacity option in the Appearance panel or Control panel
